Nigeria has been an important source of gem tourmaline since the 1990s, producing stones in a wide range of colors from pegmatites in Oyo and Nasarawa states. Oyo, in particular, is known for yielding pink material with fine saturation and good clarity. Larger stones of this quality are less common, making this a desirable example.
