Large spessartite garnet crystal from Loliondo, Tanzania in rich orange to reddish orange tones, with sharp natural faces and strong presence in hand.
This material comes from a notable find on Maasai land over a decade ago. The deposit was never known for producing many big crystals, and pieces of this size were always scarce and highly sought after even at the time of the discovery. Today the source is believed to be largely exhausted, which makes larger Loliondo spessartite crystals increasingly difficult to replace
