Large 7.9 x 6.9 x 6.5 cm pale blue-white calcite specimen with a bright 11.1 x 8.6 mm ruby crystal set nicely into the matrix. The ruby has rich purplish-red color and shows good translucency when backlit.
From the Mogok Stone Tract, Mandalay Region, Burma (Myanmar), one of the world’s most famous ruby localities.
