Imperial Garnet from Tanzania. Rare example showing both color change and UV reaction. Shifts from lighter tones in daylight to a richer red under incandescent light, with a vivid red fluorescence under UV. Garnets with this dual effect are uncommon, and Imperial garnet is already one of the rarest members of the garnet group. Tanzanian sources have produced some of the finest known examples, sought after by both cutters and collectors.
