Grandiderite - Madagascar

Holy Grail Alert

Grandidierite is one of the world’s rarest gem minerals, first identified in southern Madagascar in 1902. It is a magnesium iron borosilicate prized for its rich blue-green coloration and strong pleochroism. While small fragments are occasionally available, pieces of this size—3.281 grams—are extraordinarily difficult to find. Madagascar remains the only consistent source for this material, and large-format preforms like this are seldom offered on the open market

*We are offering this in our cabbing section because it is not clean. However, if an included gemstone is acceptable- it could be faceted
