Gem Silica - Inspiration Mine, Arizona

This cushion-cut Gem Silica comes from the famed Inspiration Mine, a source long known for producing some of the finest Gem Silica ever found. The saturated teal color is caused by chrysocolla inclusions, rich in copper, suspended within quartz. Unlike more mottled material, this piece is unusually clean and even-toned, with a soft glow that seems to radiate outward.

Inspiration Mine Gem Silica is legendary among collectors. The mine is no longer active, and stones of this clarity and intensity are seldom seen on the market today. For anyone drawn to American gem history—or just the sheer beauty of color in quartz—this is a truly special example.
