Burmese Jadeite Jade Nodule

Type A jadeite jade nodule from Burma (Myanmar), cut in half with both faces polished to reveal the interior structure and color. The material shows a pale green to gray-white body with darker green mottling, typical of natural jadeite formed under high-pressure metamorphic conditions. The exterior rind remains intact on the sides, offering a clear contrast between the weathered outer surface and the polished interior.

Type A jade refers to jadeite that is entirely natural, with no polymer impregnation or dye treatments. Only traditional surface waxing may be used, which has been accepted for centuries and does not alter the internal structure of the stone. This designation represents the highest and most conservative classification of jadeite.

Burmese jade has been valued for over a thousand years, particularly in China, where it became the most revered source of jade during the Qing dynasty. Jadeite from Burma remains the historical benchmark for fine jade, prized for its durability, cultural significance, and wide range of natural color and texture
