This highly unusual & unique bi-color amethyst formed in a geode environment where trace amounts of iron were incorporated into quartz during growth. As the crystal elongated, subtle shifts in temperature and chemistry caused the color to deepen from light violet to rich purple. The result is this natural zoning effect, accentuated here by a precision emerald cut. Untreated and mined in Brazil
