Brilliant cushion-cut Amblygonite from Brazil, showing a soft, silvery aqua tone with exceptional transparency. Amblygonite is a lithium-aluminum phosphate mineral, and its pale blue-green color is due to trace iron and manganese content. Despite its gentle appearance, it's a rare and seldom-seen collector’s gem due to its relative softness and brittleness, which make faceting a technical challenge.
Brazil remains one of the few sources of gem-quality Amblygonite, and clean faceted specimens like this are increasingly uncommon.
