Hydrothermal Synthetic Emerald
Produced by the Taurus company in Novosibirsk, this synthetic emerald crystal was created through the hydrothermal process, replicating the natural conditions under which emeralds form. Composed of beryllium aluminum silicate, its rich green color is due to chromium or vanadium. Hydrothermal emeralds are identifiable by their characteristic growth patterns and inclusions, specific to this advanced synthesis method.
This is a historically important crystal as the Taurus company is no longer in business and these are not being produced any longer
