This precision faceted gem comes from the mountainous regions of Pakistan, particularly in Kashmir and along the Pakistani side of the Himalayas, where some of the finest peridot in the world is found. The extreme geology of these high-altitude deposits produces crystals with an intense, almost electric green that is rarely matched elsewhere. Unlike many gemstones, peridot’s color is entirely natural and is caused by the presence of iron in its crystal structure
