At first glance, it’s a warm, earthy gem—but tilt it slightly, and the colors shift. Olive green turns to copper, then to a smoky golden brown. That’s Andalusite’s signature: a natural ability to show more than one color at once, thanks to the way it bends light along different crystal directions.
This stone comes from Brazil, one of the few places that produces Andalusite clean and large enough for fine faceting. The cut here is done just right to balance all three key tones—no single color dominates. It’s a quiet gem with a lot going on under the surface, and that layered look gives it a kind of understated elegance collectors love.
