Precision faceted Phenakite from Nigeria is an exceptionally rare gemstone. As a beryllium silicate, phenakite has a high refractive index, giving it an exceptional sparkle that rivals diamonds. Unlike more common gem minerals, phenakite forms in limited deposits and is rarely found in facetable sizes, making clean, well-cut specimens highly sought after by collectors.
This deposit has not produced any material of note for several years now. This is the ideal collectors stones.
