Gem Silica - Ray Mine, Arizona

This translucent blue-green cabochon comes from the historic Ray Mine in Arizona, one of the few known sources of true Gem Silica. The glowing color comes from chrysocolla that formed inside quartz, infusing it with vibrant copper-rich tones. The result is a gem that feels almost lit from within—smooth, saturated, and serene.

Ray Mine material is especially collectible because of its combination of color and clarity. These stones are no longer being mined, and fine examples like this have become increasingly hard to source.
